News

News is a feature for writing and publishing dynamic content to public pages of school websites.

This feature is suitable for:

  • School announcements
  • Activity coverage
  • Educational articles
  • PPDB info
  • Other information is dynamic

Fast Flow: From Blank to Live​

1. Create a Draft​

  1. Click the Add New button
  2. Fill in the headline
  3. Enter the content/news content
  4. Click Save As Draft

2. Tidy up your news identity​

  1. Set news Category
  2. Add relevant Tags
  3. Upload Featured Image (featured image)
  4. Set URL Slug (usually automatically from title)
  5. Add Short Description (excerpt)

3. Publish​

  1. If you are ready to appear publicly, click the Publish button
  2. Your news is now accessible to the public

News Page Elements​

News List​

On the News main page, you see a table listing the articles that have been created.

Toolbar above the table:

  • Search: Quick filter by news headlines
  • Action Dropdown: Bulk actions for selected articles
  • Column Dropdown: Choose which columns are displayed
  • Number of rows dropdown: Set how much data per page

Table column:

  • Title - Headline of the story
  • Category - The category in which the news is published
  • Writer - The person who creates the news
  • Date - When the news was published
  • Status - Draft or Published
  • Action - Edit/Delete button

Tips​

  • Create an interesting and descriptive title
  • Use categories to organize content
  • Add images to make the content more interesting
  • Use tags to make it easier to find related content
