1. Blog Pages Show the Most

Determines the maximum number of stories that appear on a blog page per page.

Example:

  • If filled in5, then the blog page displays a maximum of 5 stories per page
  • Users can navigate to the next page to see other news

Suggested value:

  • 5–10articles per page (lighter and easier to read, suitable for school blogs)
  • 10–20articles if the content is updated very frequently
  • 20+if traffic is high and there is a lot of bandwidth
tip

The fewer articles per page, the faster the page loads. This is better for user experience and SEO.

Determines the number of news items that appear in the Popular News section (trending/most viewed).

Example:

  • If filled in5, then 5 popular news will be displayed in a sidebar or special area

Suggested value:

  • 3–5for a small sidebar
  • 5–10for larger popular news widgets
info

The definition of "popular" usually follows a system based on the number of views/visits of the article.

3. Most Summary of News

Determines the length of the news summary limit in the number of characters. The summary usually appears in:

  • Article list card
  • Preview/excerpt on archive page
  • Feeds/syndication

Example:

  • 150character = concise, suitable for compact card displays
  • 200–250characters = more informative, readers get a better picture
  • 300+characters = almost like reading a full paragraph

Suggested value:

  • 150–200for a compact modern design
  • 200–300for more informative traditional blogs

  • Balance between number & speed - Fewer articles per page = faster loading pages
  • Excerpt consistency - Use a consistent excerpt length across all articles

  • Monitor analytics - See if new settings increase reader engagement
